The Office is headed by Kevin McGrath MRICS DL OBE.


Kevin McGrath was appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s 2016 Birthday Honours List for Services to Charities. He served as High Sheriff of Greater London for 2014/15, is the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and became a Freeman of the City of London in 2008.

Kevin is an Executive Film Producer on a number of acclaimed productions, including An Irish Goodbye, winner of the Oscar® for Best Live Action Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards and Best British Short Film at the 76th BAFTA Awards. He is also Executive Producer of the Sundance Award-winning documentary Everyone to Kenmure Street and the feature film Everybody Digs Bill Evans, which screened in competition at the Berlin Film Festival. In theatre, Kevin is Co-Producer of a number of productions, including the West End shows Othello and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. He also serves as a Director of the Ealing Film Festival.


Kevin was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of the University by the University of Surrey in 2017 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Arts, and an Honorary Doctor of Letters by London South Bank University in 2022 for his contribution to Business and Charity.


In business, Kevin is former Chair of Regional REIT Plc and Founder and Chair of M&M Portfolio Ltd. He previously served as Managing Director and Senior Adviser at F&C REIT Asset Management. Prior to this, he was a founding equity partner in REIT Asset Management, overseeing global commercial property portfolios on behalf of private and institutional clients. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles with Hermes Investment Management, acting for the BT and Post Office Pension Schemes, as well as positions in local government, manufacturing, and banking.


Kevin graduated from the Polytechnic of the South Bank (now London South Bank University) with a BSc (Distinction) in Estate Management and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Property Investment (Award Winner) from the College of Estate Management. A Chartered Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience, he is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.


He is Founder and Chair of the McGrath Charitable Trust, a Trustee of Moorfields Eye Charity, Deputy Chair and Co-Founder of The Clink Prison Restaurant Charity — the first public restaurant established within working British prisons — and Patron of Clean Break and PACT (Prison Advice and Care Trust). He is also a Non-Executive Property Advisory Board Member of the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Greater London.


Kevin is a former Director and Chair of Queens Park Rangers Football Club plc and Chair of QPR Women’s Football Club. He currently serves as Vice Chair of QPR Sport in the Community Trust.


In the arts, Kevin served as Chair of the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith and Chair of Arts Educational Schools London and was a Trustee of The Old Vic Theatre and The Guildford School of Acting. He was also the Proprietor of Tribune magazine.


Kevin has contributed extensively to public policy and social justice initiatives. He is a former member of Liberty’s Human Rights Policy Executive Board and former Chair of the UNITED in Hammersmith and Fulham Charity. He has served as a Commissioner on several independent commissions relating to criminal justice, political reform, and social policy, working alongside senior public figures and policymakers.


He has also held governance roles with numerous educational and charitable organisations, including London South Bank University, The Howard League for Penal Reform, The National Education Trust, and The Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship, among others. He has supported healthcare and justice initiatives through roles with UCLH Cancer Centre and The Make Justice Work Charity and has served as a school governor at several London schools.


Born in West London and living in Ealing, Kevin is married to Kate and they have two children. He combines a distinguished record of business leadership with a lifelong commitment to public service, the arts, and social impact.
