The McGrath Family Office is based in London and manages the investment and philanthropic interests of the McGrath Family

Kevin McGrath was appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen’s 2016 Birthday Honours List for Services to Charities. He served as High Sheriff of Greater London for 2014/15, is the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and became a Freeman of the City of London in 2008. The Office manages the McGrath Family’s commercial and residential property interests which are placed with real estate asset manager M&M Portfolio Ltd, who are a specialist property, investment and asset management company established in 2008 and have vast experience within the property investment industry offering a wide-ranging property asset management service to institutions, public bodies, Family Offices, and private clients.
The Office is prepared to consider UK Commercial Property income producing investment opportunities.

The McGrath Family Office has undertaken several early-stage investments into an eccentric range of companies. Investments have also been made into a Professional Football Club, Film, Theatre, and TV productions. We will consider investments opportunities across all geographies and all sectors. Our preference is for investments with a strong social impact or companies bringing innovative technologies into traditional business sectors. There is a focus on early-stage tech opportunities looking to “disrupt” traditional industries.

The McGrath Family’s philanthropic interests are run through the McGrath Charitable Trust which was set up in 2000 with the objective of providing opportunities and help for the underprivileged and those in need. The Charity has particular interests in Education, Performing Arts, Cancer, Ophthalmology, and Criminal Justice. The McGrath Family Office monitors investment management mandates placed with specialist external advisors including Coutts Wealth Management, St James Wealth Management, Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, Rothschild, and Lombard Odier Wealth Management.

Led by Olive McGrath, the McGrath Family Office has developed a strong track record of investment in both film and theatre, supporting projects that combine creative ambition with cultural impact. The Office has backed a range of short and full-length feature films, with notable successes including An Irish Goodbye, winner of the Oscar® for Best Live Action Short Film at the 95th Academy Awards and Best British Short Film at the 76th BAFTA Awards. Kevin McGrath serves as Executive Film Producer on several acclaimed productions, including the Sundance Award- winning documentary Everyone to Kenmure Street and the feature film Everybody Digs Bill Evans, which screened in competition at the Berlin Film Festival. Alongside financial investment, the Family Office offers strategic advice and guidance to filmmakers, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent, especially female writers, directors, and producers. In theatre, the Family Office has invested in West End and touring productions for over two decades, including award-winning shows such as Ghost Stories, Noises Off, High Society, and Red Pitch. Kevin McGrath is also Co-Producer of major West End productions, including Othello and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, and serves as a Director of the Ealing Film Festival, reflecting the Family Office’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creative excellence across stage and screen.
